Cookie Policy

What are "cookies"?

"Cookies" are computer data, particularly text files, stored on users' devices for use on websites. These files allow the user's device to be recognized and the website to be displayed accordingly, tailored to their individual preferences. "Cookies" typically contain the name of the website they come from, the duration of storage on the end device, and a unique identifier.

Why do we use "cookies"?

"Cookies" are used to tailor website content to the user's preferences and optimize their website experience. They are also used to generate anonymous, aggregated statistics that help understand how users navigate the website, enabling improvements in structure and content, without personally identifying the user.

What types of "cookies" do we use?

Generally, there are two types of "cookies": "session" and "persistent." Session cookies are temporary files stored on the user's device until they log out of the website or close their browser. Persistent cookies remain on the user's device for the time defined in the "cookie" parameters or until manually deleted by the user.
Cookies used by the website operator's partners, including website users, are subject to their own privacy policies.
Here is a detailed classification of "cookies" based on:

Cookie types based on necessity for service implementation:

  1. Essential – absolutely necessary for the correct functioning of the website or features the user wishes to utilize
  2. Functional – important for the website's operation:
    • enhance website functionality; without them, the site will work correctly but won't be customized to the user's preferences,
    • maintain a high level of website functionality; without settings stored in cookies, functionality may diminish, though the site remains usable,
    • support critical website features; blocking them will disrupt proper functioning of certain features.
  3. Business – support the website's business model; blocking them won't render the website unusable, but may affect the service quality due to the owner's inability to generate revenue subsidizing its operations. Examples include advertising cookies.

Cookie classification based on storage duration:

  1. Session cookies – stored during the browser session; deleted when the browser is closed
  2. Persistent cookies – remain after the browser is closed, stored for a defined period or indefinitely, depending on the website owner's settings

Cookie classification based on administrator origin:

  1. First-party cookies – created directly by the visited website's owner
  2. Third-party cookies – created by external entities whose components are used by the website owner

Note: Cookies can be invoked by administrators using scripts or components located on partner servers in different locations, countries, or legal systems. When external components are invoked, different cookie policies might apply compared to the website administrator's privacy policy/cookie policy.

Cookie classification based on purpose:

  1. Website configuration – enable setting functions and services on the website
  2. Security and reliability – enable authentication verification and performance optimization
  3. Authentication – enable identifying when users are logged in, showing relevant information and features
  4. Session state – save information on user interactions with the website, such as frequently visited pages or error messages. Cookies preserving session state help improve services and browsing experience.
  5. Processes – enable smooth operation of the website and its features
  6. Advertising – show more relevant ads to users while offering value to publishers and advertisers; ads may also be displayed outside the website (domain)
  7. Location – adjust displayed information to the user's location
  8. Analytics and research, viewership audit – help website owners better understand user preferences, improve products, and services. Typically, anonymous data is collected and processed to identify trends without associating them with individual user data.

Harmless – include cookies:

necessary for proper website functionality
required to enable features without tracking the user

Tracking

Do cookies contain personal data?

Cookie deletion

Restricting cookies may affect certain functionalities available on the website.
